The American Motorcyclist Association has announced the team representing the United States at the Motocross of Nations for this year. Riding for the good old USA will be Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne and Thomas Covington with Troy Lee Designs American Honda’s Cole Seely. Here’s a few stats to get excited about.
Zach Osborne
Zach is a well-rounded, competitive biker. He is a successful rider in motocross, off-road, and supercross. He is the two-time champion of the Eastern Regional 250SX and has already has one FIM World Motocross Championship win. Zach is making his debut on his 450SX machine with the 2019 season.
Thomas Covington
A young biker who turned pro in 2014, Covington brings some good numbers to the team. He has one career AMA Pro Motocross 250 class top 20 and three career AMA Pro Motocross 250 class starts. His experiences in the Motocross World Championship will give him some great legs for the MXDN.
Cole Seely
Cole’s background as an amateur BMX racer gave him the guts to go pro in 2009. In 2015 he was ranked among the top 450SX riders and scored his debut premier-class Supercross win. He landed on the podium three times in 2017 despite injuries later in the season. His smooth riding style and passion for the race will be an asset to team USA.
