A horrible and tragic incident took place in Peshawar which cannot be justified by any living soul. The day starts like a normal day but couldn’t reach to its end like a normal day. The Army Public School is located on Warsak Road near Army Housing Colony and a medical school. On 16 December 2014, six killers fit in to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan move in an Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar and apprehended the school staff and students hostage.
Before they could run or escape anywhere the TTP killers start shooting innocent child and school staff. This day has a great importance in the past and is known for the Black Day in the history of Politics and this incident has added more blood to his dark day. If we count than more than 145 people, typically children between the ages of 10 and 18 years old, have been slain, and 114 people have been hurt and admitted to the Combined Military and Lady Reading Hospitals of the city. Probably 500 students were emptied by the army.
The outbreak instigated at about noon when six gunmen, outfitted in uniforms of the Pakistani Frontier Corps arrived the school from the back over a cemetery nearby to the school after clambering its walls. Before entering the school the terrorists set fire to vehicles, and then extensively opened fire with automatic weapons in the central auditorium of the school, where children were gathered for a school function. Innocent children were terrified by this sudden change of scenario but the teachers played a vital role and tried to save many possible lives.
The attack on a military-run high school is there by more than 1,100 people, many of them children of army personnel, hit at the heart of Pakistan’s military formation, an attack sure to infuriate the country’s powerful army. Injured children taken to close hospitals told Reuters most fatalities occur when gunmen, suicide vests impecunious to their bodies, pass in the compound and opened fire indiscriminately on boys, girls and their teachers. This was one of the brutal incidents that have been take place in the history of TTP attacks. The operation finished after all six of the terrorists were killed.
According to DG ISPR Asim Bajwa:
“Six terrorists were killed by the security forces after taking control of the situation. Operation was slowed down due to the risk of IEDs established by the terrorists within the school sites. 132 children, nine staff members of the school killed in the Taliban attack. 1099 students and staff registered in school. 960 were rescued after the army operation. Three terrorists were snipped through the windows, while three of them were killed in the administrative block.”
