Skincare

Skincare may seem like an obvious routine if you want to look your best but it is even more important to maintain during the holidays. Make sure you are sticking to a regular skincare regime every day. You should cleanse and moisturize your skin daily. Put SPF on your face before you go out, even if you live in a snowy, cold place. The sun can cause damage even if you cannot feel it. Remove your makeup at the end of the day and invest in a quality anti-aging product, such as something from the Beverly Hills MD line. Beverly Hills MD reviews describe the side effects of their products to include decreased wrinkles and firmer skin, something everyone can use a little more of during the holidays.

Nutrition

Nutrition is always a challenge during this time of year. Everywhere you go, there are more treats, sweets and snacks than there are elves in Santa’s workshop. Do your best to stick with a nutritious eating plan on a daily basis. Meal prepping can make or break you when it comes to giving in to all those goodies. Take a few hours each week to the grocery shop and pre pack your meals. Make sure you are packing snacks too. That way when someone has bought Christmas cookies into the office for the third time that week, you will have something healthy to turn to.

Keep in mind, you should try to maintain a healthy regime most of the time but that does not mean you cannot have any of the good stuff! It is all about balance. Do not be afraid to splurge at Thanksgiving dinner or sneak a few pieces of candy from the kid’s Halloween bag. Just make sure you are not eating 10 pieces of candy a night and sneaking three extra cookies every time someone brings them into the office.

Exercise

Working out on a regular basis is another way to ensure you are looking in tip-top shape for all your social gatherings. This chaotic time of year can make it extra difficult to squeeze in a workout but do not let excuses get the best of you. Try to get at least 20 minutes of exercise a few times a week. If you live in a southern state, this is the time of year to take advantage of the warmer weather! Get outside and ride a bike, skate or go for a run.

If you live in a state where it is colder, outdoor options are limited. Consider investing in a workout program. Black Friday brings with it numerous sales, so do your research beforehand to determine which program you want to buy. Keep an eye on it in the week leading up to Black Friday; chances are you will be able to snag it at a discounted rate.

The holidays truly are a time of year unlike any other. With so many celebrations and social gatherings to attend, the last thing you want is to feel less than your best. Follow the above tips and you will radiant confidence knowing you look amazing, no matter which holiday you are celebrating.
