Pete Burns, the lead singer of the band Dead or Alive died Sunday due to a cardiac arrest. Dead or alive was a famous Goth new wave band from the eighties.

The news of Burn’s death was released by his management. He was aged 57. Facebook broke the news to his fans by announcing that Burns had died due to a cardiac arrest.
The message further read that the family and friends of the deceased artist were devastated by the loss of such a great star.
Burns was a visionary and a talented soul. He would be missed by all his fans and will be remembered for all the wonderful things he left behind.

Early works
Pete Burns came to the foreground during the seventies when he was part of the goth band ‘Nightmares in Wax.’ Their only EP ‘Birth of a Nation’ was highlighted by the single ‘Black Leather’ which was released in 1979.
Dead or Alive
The band adopted the name of ‘Dead or Alive’ during the same year. There were many singles after which the album released its first album in 1984. It was entitled ‘Boom Boom.’
That’s the Way; a track from ‘Boom Boom’ became a surprise hit. The band had transformed KC and the Sunshine Band’s song in order to produce this version.
Strange appearance
Pete Burns once stated that people had an innate problem of jumping to negative conclusions regarding anyone who looks strange. They would think that the person is abnormal.
He also stated that he had learnt to deal with people over the years so that they would take him seriously.
The group’s next album ‘Youthquake’ arrived a short while later. It contained the biggest hit ‘You Spin Me Around.’ It reached No. 1 in on the United Kingdom charts and lodged at No. 11 on Billboard Hot 100.
