It is key to be successful in your career. You must have the ability to be a proactive person. If you are a fresher or just in your last year of your academic. You must have taught about the skills of finding the right company, the right job as per your skills. You must have read the story of the thirsty crow. In which the crow has to get to the water anyway. So we, the job seekers have to get the right job anyway, we can’t wait for the opportunity to knock on our door.
You know, I see Google as my best friend. Whenever I was in need of information, I subsequently searched for a word or required knowledge. On a single click, google answered me the way I wanted the information. I remember a friend of mine when done with the higher school wanted to have a short course of welding. We mutually helped us find the steps to become a welder. He succeeded in his career because he was a searcher about everything. The habit of searching will lead you to the heights.
Searching will help you to start your career rightly
It is also important to search for a company you are going to apply for. Searching means, you are going to find that what your company does, where it stands in a market and so and so on.
Stand of the Reputation a company have
This is so much important you know. It is what your all the career is based on. You are a fresher and don’t know about what the market does with the professionals. You have to know about your rights, by book and by the values set by this society. This consciousness will lead you to the right way seeeeking the right place to work. To search for the right company, the position is the first step. Then it turns to the investigation of a company you are likely to apply for the vacant position. There are things on finger tips you will have to remember.
You will learn the behavior of the company with its employees. You will probably find the social media appearance of the company and there might be some kind of interactivity with the people. You will find at least a person who works with the company. Your job here is to be a friend of him and ask all the things the company has.
The questions to clear are, does the company pay salaries on time? Do they follow the eight hours of work? Don’t they misbehave or compromise on the dignity of employees? If the company is facing any sue over discrimination? Is the company paying its taxes? See, these things are you must have to clear at once.
Is the company just started?
It is important to know. You must have information about the company’s status. Is the company a stable business working for years in the industry having a good name, or it just had started and not sure when the stability will come. This type of job can hurt your career. So if you are at least satisfied with the idea of growth, you should take an opportunity.
Otherwise, the only option is to find a stable company to avoid any major dent in your resume. This is very simple, find the source which can tell that the revenue of a company is growing or not. Another important indicator to look at the past five years record. If the trends are stable all along the period, you can at least trust your employer to hire you in the company.
See if the company is flexible enough with your routine
It is important to find the place you can work comfortably and can give good productivity. This is only possible and depends on the company’s end that how they have a relaxing and flexible policy for its employees. I’m working as a writer in a company and quite flexible because of the better policies which favor its employees. Let me confirm the factors that greatly affect a person and its productivity.
I receive my salary on time, My colleagues, who sit around are very fine, cooperative, flexible and give a perfect environment. It gives a boost to the efficiency of your work. This also matter that the company is flexible or not. Are they taking care of your mental and physical health? Are they arranging some extra curricular activities or trips for refreshing the employees?
Will you grow being the part of the Company?
Another major point to take an account of. You are hired as a fresher, but you will not be in the same position forever. For this, you will have to see the profiles of people already working in a company for years. Our company holds the training, assessments and on the basis of that, increments and promotions are done. So know that you have to grow, and not to stop. Check for it that if the company proves its employee’s opportunity to grow or not. It is a must checkpoint. Otherwise, you will see the other option. Never compromise with your career.
See if you have better interview skills?
This is another major point in your career. If it is your first job or the 10th, you have to keep in mind the basic three things. Just ask yourself a question. Is your Resume sounds well? Do you know how to give a professional interview? Can you bargain for a salary with your employer? I remember, for me, these were the actual skills one must-have.
It was never a good experience of mine giving a successful interview and bargain the salary to the fit. With experience, I learned this skill and now regard it very important for the freshers and all level professionals to carry it. Don’t let the company and market exploit you anyway. Good luck!
