How should drinking water be? These are its standards

How should drinking water be

The way pollution is increasing today, the possibility of finding many types of harmful and poisonous elements in drinking water has increased.

Many of these are neither visible to us with open eyes nor can they be removed by filtering them with a cloth or boiling them. we are telling how quality water should be:

What is necessary for good drinking water ?

  • Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has made many standards to determine the quality of water. According to this, there should be absolutely no arsenic, lead, selenium, mercury, nitrate etc. in any drinking water. These have a serious impact on health.
  • There should be only a limited amount of fluoride, iron, calcium and magnesium in water. Their high amount increases hardness in water. It is also called Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). According to BIS, it should not be more than 500 mg/litre in any case. Such water is not considered potable. It further has a negative effect on the body.
  • There are many types of organic impurities in water due to which bacteria are produced. Bacteria like E-coli and coliform are common in water which affect health.

Drinking bad water can cause these diseases:

  • Diarrhea: Problems like diarrhea or stomach infection can occur due to bacteria like coliform and E-coli in water.
  • Typhoid: This is basically a water-borne disease. It is caused by a bacteria called Salmonella Typhi which can reach our stomach through drinking water.
  • Jaundice: This is also a water-borne disease which is caused by a specific virus. This virus also spreads rapidly due to impure water.
  • Kidney stones: If the TDS level in water is high and you are drinking such water continuously, then it can cause kidney stone problem.
  • Fluorosis: If the amount of fluorine or fluoride in water is high, then it can cause a disease called fluorosis. It spoils the teeth.
  • Skin problems: If the amount of iron or magnesium in water is more than the prescribed limit, then skin problems can occur. Wrinkles can appear early.

How to choose healthy water for yourself?

Which water purification technology is necessary for drinking water depends on the quality of the water you get. Broadly two technologies are used in water purification: RO and UV.

RO means reverse osmosis. RO technology should be used for water in which TDS is high. If the TDS level in water is more than 500 mg/litre, then that water is not drinkable. RO water purifiers are necessary for such water.

RO water purification technology cannot be considered the best in every case. For example, if the TDS level in the water you get is low, then RO technology will remove impurities, but at the same time it will also remove essential natural minerals.

In this way, the water will be drinkable, but not healthy. If the TDS in the water is not high, then UV technology is more effective and this should be used.

Apart from this, many times there is also a problem of high iron content in water. For this, you need special attachments.

Why are water purifiers special?

Trend water experts recommend water purifiers only after checking the quality of water available in your homes and offices.

Equipped with patented ‘Mineral Cartridge and Biotron’ technology, Residential or Industrial RO Plants are capable of purifying water from various sources such as municipality, borewell and tankers etc.

Water purifiers remove modern day contaminants such as lead, pesticides, heavy metals and other chemical and inorganic impurities from water.

They remove all known disease causing water borne bacteria, viruses and cysts but preserve essential minerals and nutrients. Thus Water purifiers provide your family with not just pure but healthy water.

New range of water purifiers is designed to meet all the requirements of home and Industrail the modern day consumer with a special emphasis on convenience.
