Google has revealed its Pixel Phone which is supposed to become an alternative for the highly popular Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The search giant had developed and produced Google Pixel and Pixel XL which are both android based phones.
Google Pixel Phone:
In fact, Google had been producing android phones for several years under the name of ‘Nexus.’ Google has gotten rid of the name Nexus and replaced it with Pixel.
Google Pixel XL price has also been revealed lately. Previously, Google only used the name of ‘Pixel’ only for its laptop products and premium tablets.
Google’s Pixel phone is the first phone which is built ‘inside out’ by Google. The hardware and software both of Pixel phone are controlled by the search giant.
Pixel Phones hit the market in October:
The release date for Google Pixel phones has been announced. Pre-orders for the device will begin on October 04 in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Australia and Canada. By October 20, the phone will be available on shops.
Pre-orders for Pixel Phone and Pixel XL are open. They can be placed through its own stores or Carphone Warehouse. The white Pixel looks like iPhone 5 from the outset. However, it has a finger scanner which is mounted in the rear. This scanner is very popular with latest android handsets.
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL will feature USB-Charging port and both have 4GB RAM. They also have 13MP cameras on the backside. The front cameras are 8MP.
Customers are offered a choice of either 32GB of internal storage or 128 GB. Google is also making available unlimited storage for pictures and videos with the help of Google Photos application.
Unlike Apple, Pixel phone has chosen to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack in place. The same was removed in the iPhone 7.
Both Google Pixel and Pixel XL have a design that is very similar to the Nexus 6P which was very popular with customers. A customer who chooses to buy the device directly from Google or Carphone Warehouse will get the phone without a SIM.
It will also be unlocked and would carry a price tag of 599 Pounds for the Pixel and 719 Pounds for Pixel XL. Google Pixel is 5 inches long and Pixel XL is 5.5 inches.
Buying directly from Google or Carphone Warehouse means you can pick up the phones SIM-free and unlocked for the one-off price of £599 for the 5-inch Pixel and £719 for the 5.5-inch Pixel XL.
If you order it before October 20, you will get a 50 Pounds Google play voucher allowing you to purchases items from Google Play Store.
