Getting Digital Feedbacks with QR Code

QR Code

The best way to know if your customers are happy with their experiences is through their own feedback.

Customer feedback and reviews help you in fully understanding your customer’s requirements, innovating your product, creating a loyal customer base along with marketing your business. When you listen to your customers and apply the insights gathered from them, you move your business forward in the best way.

However, getting your customers to review your product and share their feedback is not that easy.

Some people skip reviewing and giving feedback as they are often asked to follow numerous steps before they can do it. And sometimes, people do not find the impulse to leave a review as they have a hard time finding the review page. However, any happy customer would not mind leaving a review if you make it easy for them.

So, how do you make it easy for your customers to share feedback or share a review in this digital world?

One way to do it is by utilizing QR codes.

How and Where to Use QR Codes to Get Feedbacks?

A quick response (QR) code is the quickest way and possibly the easiest way for a customer to leave a review. It is easy to scan using a QR reader app on a smartphone plus it does not contain a long visible link. Also, it takes up little space on point-of-sale (POS) materials.

STEP 1: Generating Your QR Code

The first step is to generate a QR code with a direct link to the page you need to collect reviews —  to a landing page for reviews or  to your listing in Google My Business.

If you want your customers to give their feedback on a landing page, simply copy the landing page address and generate a QR code for it. And if you want Google reviews, go to Google and search for ‘Place ID Finder’, and open the first link. Then, type your business name and copy the place ID. Now add the copied place id to the link here- https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=PLACE ID

Once you’ve created the direct link, you need to now create a Website URL QR Code with an online QR Code generator.

Always remember to make your QR codes eye-cathy by giving them a welcoming and appealing appearance. You can simply add your logo or change its color. The purpose here is to make the QR code unique so that it gets noticed and sparks curiosity in customers.

STEP 2: Picking the Right Place to Put the QR Code

Once you are ready with your QR code, the next step is to place it where it is convenient to scan it. You can think of such places, for example,  at storefronts, in  cafe menus, on flyers, standees or banners, posters, business cards or  your product packaging.

Your QR code must eliminate extra steps of looking for your website and navigating through it to leave a review. It should always make it easy for your customers to share feedback.

Further, while placing your QR codes, make sure to add concise and impactful call-to-action. It should direct and remind customers to leave a review. Apart from that, don’t forget to put where your customers will be directed and what type of review they will be making.

STEP 3: Acknowledging Every Feedback

Customer feedback is a valuable resource for improving customer experience and adjusting your actions to their needs. You can know whether they’re satisfied or dissatisfied with a product or service. This also relates to any general experience they’ve had with a company.

So, always make sure that their efforts for leaving feedback is well appreciated. You can simply do that by replying to their reviews, both positive and negative. For positive ones, tell them you appreciate them for taking out time and getting back to you and that you will continue to provide good products & services. For negative ones, apologize for their disappointment and try to fix the issue that the customer mentions. You can also always ask them how you can better improve.

With each response, you create a constructive community which people will like to be a part of.  Furthermore, your replies will not only give appreciation to the reviews but also attract other customers to leave one.

Bonus Suggestion: Remember, the idea is to make it easy for people to review. If there are multiple steps for the people to reach where they can leave feedback, it is most likely they are not going to do it. So, if you want to take the step of downloading a QR code reader out for the customers, you can integrate QR code reading functionality in your website with an online QR reader. Customers won’t need to download anything on their mobile device, instead, they can simply visit your website and scan the QR code.
