1- Sheikh Lotfullah Mosque

Sultan Idris set the first stone of it for thanksgiving to Allah Almighty after his recovery from the illness. The marble used in the interior was ordered from Italy. It was built during World War 1. Which caused delays in its construction. In 1917.
It is opened for the worshipper to offer prayers five times a day. It has 4 minarets and a golden dome which attracts the tourist towards its charm. The Mosque has an octagonal structure. The main worshipping space is about 3,420 square feet and can hold up to 427 people. The washing area, which is set in the back of the mosque, is linked to the primary prayers area by a large octagonal pond.
4- Cordoba Mosque
The Cordoba Mosque is one of the splendid examples of Moorish architecture in Spain. it was a 6th century Catholic church. Which become a mosque in 8th century on the advancement of Islam in the state.
It comprises a big prayer hall decorated with various stones and a courtyard with a middle fountain. The courtyard is also planted with rows of orange trees, cypresses, and palm trees. It also has a minaret that is entombed in a square bell tower.
5- Al Saleh Mosque
it is the largest mosque lies in Yamen, which was opened in 2008. Non-Muslims are welcome to see and shoot the interior of the mosque by attending an arranged tour. The mosque is a work of art, with intricate carvings, and magnificent domes that show a combination of Yemeni and Islamic architecture.
The mosque was constructed in Yamani architectural style. The wooden doors and roofs in the interior are engraved with copper patterns. It has 6 high minarets which are up to 100 meters in height. Which collapsed many times during the construction. Interior of the mosque is designed with different stones e.g., limestones in red, black, and white color and black bustle stones. It also has sprawling gardens which enhance its beauty.
It has a central hall where worshippers offer their prayers moreover Women pray in another hall in an enclosed area. The Saleh Mosque is Yemen’s only mosque where worshippers are examined by police and bomb-sniffing dogs. To reach more people, prayers are also televised on a regional television network.
