There are many underlying causes of Hair fall and hair loss; few of them are as follows-

Whatever the cause is but both male and female are struggling to find any possible solution for it. This has opened a gateway for researchers to find out any possible remedy or solution for it. Many companies did research as well to find a possible solution. Thus, scientists evaluated one of the possible and scientifically proven cure or prevention for it, a natural compound named “Biotin”Biotin (Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H) is a water-soluble vitamin that can be found in a natural diet and supplement as well. Biotinidase is mostly considered to be effective in hair loss but there is limited research literature available to back this claim.

Usage of Natural Biotin in our body

Biotin or Vitamin H plays a similar role in the body as many other vitamins play. It helps the body to convert certain nutrients being taken through diet into energy. It is responsible for converting nutrients into energy thus plays a vital role.

Role of Biotin in Hair fall

Biotin is a vitamin mostly found in eggs, nuts, white mushrooms. Also, it can be consumed via hair growth supplements. There are a few Biotin-rich hair growth supplements available that gives better result in stopping hair loss. It is absorbed in our stomach and produces healthy enzyme’s which could be better for nails and hair care. Biotin can be a possible cure for hair fall but it only works in cases where the hair loss is due to the deficiency of biotin.

Biotin doesn’t treat the root cause of hair fall unless it is caused by biotin deficiency. But it actually assists in maintaining sustainable hair growth.

Symptoms of Biotin Deficiency

Some people may be more prone to biotin deficiency than others, for example, people who consume more alcohol, smokers, people with inflammatory bowel disease, consuming Avidin rich foods such as consuming raw eggs white. The possible symptoms may include,

  • Red rash around eyes and nose
  • May cause depression
  • Brittle nails
  • Exhaustion
  • Dry Skin
  • Tingling and numbness in arms and legs
  • Thinning of hair

Dietary biotin may help in maintaining healthy hair growth. Keratin is a protein of which our hairs are formed, Biotin boasts and assists in maintaining healthy keratin infrastructure thus eventually it helps and supports hair growth. It actually helps in thickening of hair and nails. Hair fall starts when the hair started getting thin and not getting enough vitamins or minerals hence results in hair loss.

Biotin may support hair growth but it’s not evident that it could care hair loss, as many shampoos and products containing biotin claims to do so but there is a lack of evidence.

Dosage of Biotin

Biotin can be consumed through diet but taking supplements will helps in biotin deficiency. The daily recommended dose is 2-5 mg. Although, it’s advised to go for doctor’s consultation if you’re pregnant or going through the treatment any major disease.
