Maxim magazine had issued its ratings for the year of the most beautiful women. Singer Delta Goodrem has been named as the hottest woman in Australia by the magazine. The upcoming issue features the Hot 100 Australia list, with the 30-year-old beating actress Margot Robbie for the top spot. Proving exactly why she was named number one, the Into the Blue singer appears topless on the cover of the magazine, submerged in a crystal clear pool.
The photoshoot was raunchy for some fans as they hadn’t perceived her in such a dress, wearing nothing except a gold necklace. The Voice Australia instructor carefully covers her modesty by sloping up against the edge of the pool in the cover shot by fashion photographer Pierre Toussaint.
The singer’s long wet tresses swept back off her face and left cascading down her shoulders added more to her seductive looks. Delta’s blue eyes, which are highlighted by the vivid background, pierce the lens.
Chief Editor of Maxim magazine Santi Pintando revealed to daily mail Australia that the cover shot was Delta’s own idea. “It was pretty much a collaboration, but Delta had a lot of the ideas and we were all for it because it’s a beautiful, sexy shot” were his words. He also added that 2015 has been the singer’s big year with new music, a number one single, TV role and her upcoming musical Cats, which is why she topped Maxim’s list.
Santi also mentioned that for most of the hot 100 is just a bunch of good looking women, this isn’t so. He said
They also have to be talented, intelligent and have done something in the last 12 months that has had an impact on the industry as well as their own careers.”
Following Delta at second spot was Margot Robbie from Hollywood and at the lower spot was a sportswoman Ellyse Perry. Bachelorette Sam Frost, also signed a shoot for this magazine and won fourth place. The same number is her lucky number.
Australia’s Next Top Model host Jennifer Hawkins came in fifth place, while Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage beat Miranda Kerr in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
Lauren Brant, another cover girl, was Number Eight on the list with US-based rapper Iggy Azalea and singer Jessica Mauboy rounds out the top ten. Jessica Gomes just missed the top of the list, with the buxom beauty coming in at Number 11.
