The Voice had confirmed earlier during the month that there was something romantic going on between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton that is what made the night of the live playoffs on Monday so exciting when the duo appeared for the first time as a couple.
The couple did not waste a lot of time on flirting. However, the 39 years old Shelton, played the role of an over excited cheerleader for Stefani during the match between her and Adam Levine’ team.
Shelton addressed his girlfriend directly and said that she was giving Levine’s team a really hard time. He further said that it was fun watching Stefani’s team beat the shit out of Adam and he was very pleased with it.
Stefani simply blushed and giggled after receiving such heartwarming compliments from her boyfriend. Adam Levine – the front man of Maroon 5 – was visibly irritated and mocked the couple putting brakes on the flirting.
Despite the absence of PDA on camera, the couple did not try to hide their affection for each other. Shelton made another comment about a contestant’s makeover in reference to Gwen’s transformation of Craig Wayne Boyd that helped his team win season 7.
Adam Levine again stepped in as the ultimate spoiler cracking a chuckle obviously inspired by Shelton. Gwen Stefani is an American songwriter, singer, actress and fashion designer. She started with a band and later went solo. The Grammy Award winner has sold around 30 million albums.
Blake started his career in 2001 with the country single Austin which became an instant hit spending 5 weeks at the top of the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. There were two more hit singles within the same album.
The six-time Grammy Award nominee has charted twenty- four country singles out of which fifteen number ones. He is also a television personality appearing as a judge on various singing competitions. He has been associated with The Voice since it was first televised. He had married another country singer, Miranda Lambert in 2011. They divorced in July 2015
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani debuted as a pair during the after party of the CMA awards. She and her husband Gavin Rossdale had announced their divorce a few weeks earlier.
