This is the time of the year when the new iPhones usually hit the market. But the Apple iPhone 7 and the new iPhone 7 plus are unlike any of the previous model changes. In fact, if seen from the outside, they will look almost the same like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Does it make them letdowns?
The answer to the question is yes and no. First of all, we must admit that the leaks were rather true and the final items failed to offer any surprises. On the other hand, Apple does manage to change so many things from the inside which includes a really cool camera in both the models.
For the third consecutive year, Apple has not introduced any changes in the external design of the gadget which has disappointed the users especially when there are very slick designs available from its competitors.
A notable change in the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, is the absence of the headphone jack. Both the models are fitted with a sole lightning port. Adapters are made available with the unit but it will not be possible anymore to charge the phone and listen to music through the headphone simultaneously.
Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are very durable models. They are water and dust resistant with the rigid Series 7000 Aluminum. The physical home button on the models has been replaced with a touch-sensitive surface. Moreover, the antenna bands have also been tidied up a bit.
The dimension of the new Apple iphone 7 and iphone 7 Plus are almost identical to the previous versions, they are a little bit lighter in weight. For the first time, both the new models have been fitted with dual speakers.The units are made available in silver, black, rose gold and gold colors.
Apple claimed that it has carried out fundamental improvements in the quality of the display with the help of the retina HD display. The color management has also been enhanced.
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are fitted with quad core processors with an expected increase of 40% in the CPU speed. The graphics are also clearer in the new models. There is no 3GB RAM but the performance is still much better than many of its contemporary android versions.
Samsung became a pioneer in mobile camera years ago; however, the new slick camera featured in the latest model is something that may give Samsung a run for its money.
In short, there has been no groundbreaking change in the new model, however, Apple fans are eagerly waiting for the all-glass iPhone Edge which is scheduled to be released on 10th anniversary of the company.
